Day 3 : Costa Rica Continued

Coco Mar Bed and Breakfast.....
It was simply AMAZING!!! It was very remote and the beach was a private beach.  Click the link to read more information about it. Here are some pictures from this AMAZING hotel. We stayed here 2 nights but wished we would have stayed longer. It was so HOOOOOOT and humid here. It was 98 degrees.
We used the Chase Sapphire and I think it was 9k points which is super affordable
Cash Price would be $114.00 a night x2
So we have saved a total of 496.00 on hotels.

This was our breakfast every morning I had not gotten the pico de galo yet.

Our view from breakfast

Random dogs everywhere

our little friend outside our room.

The pool was Amazing at night.

10 years baby!! Love this Man more then words. This trip was so good for us.

Day 2-3: Costa Rica

We got into Costa Rica super late at 11:00 and by the time we got to our hotel it was after 1:00. Our rental car place was supposed to be waiting for us and no one was there. So luckily the guy that we went through answered our phone call and told us to get a cab then to go pick up the rental car in the morning. Keep in mind that neither Adam or I can speak Spanish so this was quite the obstacle for us.
We stayed at Raddison hotel in San Jose on Saturday night. We used 15k points on Club Carlson card
Cash Value: $89.05
So far we have saved $268.00 on hotels.

It was a bit cooler in San Jose. I was all ready to go on our first adventure.

Since I love photography this caught my eye. They were doing a photo shoot right outside our hotel. These girls were beautiful.

It was cool to see the different kind of equipment they used.

This was our cab ride to our rental car place. San Jose was pretty run down and dirty. Still fresh fruit on every corner.

This was a fruit stand on our way to our next hotel. That was amazing coconut milk and not the last time I had it.
fruit stand in San Jose on the side of the road. The cab driver was driving crazy so it was pretty blurry.
I have no clue what this was called but it was surprisingly tasty.  It was warm and sweet.
This would be Mcdonalds.

Costa Rica: Day One

Our day one consisted of Staying at Country Inn and Suites in Denver because our layover was 21 hours. It was a awesome hotel.
We used our Club Carlson card- 28k Gold Points
179.00 if paid with cash.

We flew with Frontier they where a great company to go through. We used the Frontier credit card which gave us 30k points for signing up which covered our tickets. We just had to pay baggage and fees which came to 220.00 for both of us. The Cash value on these tickets where 1200.00 a piece. So we saved a TOOOOON of money.

Our Costa Rica Trip-Planning

Wow!! Is all I can say as I sit here and think about everything that we got to experience and see while we were in Costa Rica. It was an experience of a life time and all thanks to worldwanderlusting.com for teaching us how to use Credit cards and the points they give you to travel for almost nothing.
I am not going to lie, this trip took a ton of planning. Like months. There is so much to do and see there it is overwhelming to pick. We are happy with what we chose to do but if we go back we will go to see different things.

We have had this card for 3 years and it was our go to card until we heard about the Barclay Arrival. We had a ton of points on it and it gave us some different options for what hotels we could stay at.

I would get this card at least 6 months before you plan on leaving. It takes awhile to get all the points figured out. We chose to fly through frontier because its what worldwanderlusting was talking about using at the time we where going. We each needed our own card so we could use the points to fly for free

We have also had this card for about a year now. It is a great hotel card.

And our new Favorite card. This card is the best card because you can use it on any kind of travel you want and reimburse your self back with your points. We used this card for our rental car, hotels, and we even got them to cover our zip lining. We LOVE this card. We both have one so we could get double the amount of points. So get your own cards. For more information on any of these cards make sure to visit worldwanderlusting.com.

There ya have it!! These are all the cards we used to make this trip possible. We took 200.00 dollars and came home with 15.00. I will break our trip down into days and what cards we used for what hotel, how many points it took, and what it would have costed if we would have paid cash for it.
